Post It Note Christmas

Oh what fun! These post a note holders make a lovely gift for family, friends and co-workers.

I begin by making a base out of card stock. You can use odds and ends of scraps.

I first make the bases, they are 3-1/2″ x 9″ Card Stock

I score the Base at 2-1/4″ and 4-1/2″

The Face of the Post-it holder is 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″. This area is where I stamp images or I use DSP (designer series paper)

The paper I used is

PEACEFUL PLACE 12″ X 12″ (30.5 X 30.5 CM) SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

Another Card Stock layer is 3-1/2″ x 4-1/2″…..You lay the face (3-/14″ x 4-/14″) on top of this

Side View of Post it Note

Add a 3″ x 3″ post-it notes to bottom. I use glue.

I love this stamp set, it is called Peaceful Cabin, it came out this year for the Holiday catalog…..Love it cause you can use it for so many cards besides the Holidays.

Hope you enjoyed this little gift you can make……I make them all year long. Always a welcome gift.

Blog hop to Showcase Favorite Sale-a-Bration item.

so many cool items to get at $50.00 or $100.00 purchase during Sale-a-Bration. Oh, so many great items that Free with purchase.

Don’t Delay in ordering, items are limited, very limited cause of Covid and shipping issues.

The paper in the background is from sale-a-bration, this is free with a $50.00 purchase. The background is birch tree…so beautiful and fitting.

The paper I love is birch with the stripe back…..

The card is simple but looks great…..

Here is how you cut the pieces….

The back is crumb cake, cut at 4″ x 5-1/2″. The DSP is 4″ x 5-1/4″, DSP ia Designer Series Paper, than the DSP lays on top of the card base, card base is white. The size of the base is 8″ x 5-1/4″ scored at 4″

The stamp set I used is Peaceful Deer, I am in love with this set. It has deer, trees and beautiful greetings. Also a matching punch. I did not use the punch, I fussy cutted (hand cut) the deer after I stamped on white card stock. You see than used markers to color him.

I used mossy meadow for the trees and also the greeting. I use mossy meadow on many cards, it is the perfect green.

Inside I used 2 strips of 1″ x 5-1/4″ to make the sides look nice.,,,,, I made boo boos, so I had to cover the up. Below is the inside before I added the strips…oops

Yes, ink spot and than I have smudges on the right side…..thats ok..you fix it…aka cover up.

Christmas in July Sneek Peek

Oh joy, Christmas is coming….

I love the new catalog, filled with so many lovely items…I am thankful to share with you and many other creative Stampin Up! Demonstrators.

Simple and basic. The card base is Cherry Cobbler, with the first layer is 4″ by 5-1/4″. The first layer is sahara sand, stamped with sahara sand with the new background stamp Knit Together.

The stamp set bundle I used Peaceful Deer. See the deer above, they are punch out using the deer builder punch.

The trees are stamped with Shaded Spruce and done by stamping off for a lighter color…I like the look.

You can order beginning, August 3rd, 2021. Thanks for stopping by. …..Create Joy, Give Joy!

Slim Line Red White Blue

Slim Line Cards bring me back to the 70’s Yes, in the 70’s thy were common place. My graduation cards from 1976 were mostly slim line cards. I think it is funny how over the years come and go, every thing old is new again.

The basic slim line card base is a 8-1/2 inch by 7 inches. Scored/folded at 3-1/2 inches.

In the red/white/blue base above, the Red is 8-1/2″ by 7″ scored at 3-1/2″. The White mat is sized done to 8-1/4″ by 3-1/4″. The Blue mat is 8″ by 3″. Ok now what do I do to make it a fun 4th of July card.

My favorite dies are the above…so I used them in this card.

than as it looks open up, tent fold

I used a piece of basic white 3″ by 3″ to make the center. Added a strip of 1″ by 3″ Red which is Cherry Cobbler to top and bottom. I die cut the letters U-S-A out of Midnight Navy.

I hope you enjoyed my card and you can use the design in other colors for Birthdays or use with Hi or Hello!

Gathering Ink and Paper to Craft a Card

Ink or no ink

Ink? Yes, you still use it, but this is using the print outs from last post. Did you download the Free designs? They are great for card making….so how do you make a card?

I make A2 cards…that is a 8-1/2 by 11 piece of cardstock cut in half and scored at 4-1/4″. To make the fold flat, use a bone folder to make the fold crisp and flat.
