Happy Easter!

Die cut card revisited

You may not celebrate Easter, but it has been part of my being for my entire life. This year, it has not been one to celebrate. I push myself to do so. Last August, I lost my brother after heart issues, strokes and falling. He was my only sibling who stayed with the Catholic church and celebrated the special day. This same special brother always called me when I sent him a card. This summer, Covid restrictions kept me from seeing him in the hospital. The saddest thing, I could not attend his funeral. I was helping someone who had fallen and lived out of town. In her 80’s with no home Healthcare available. I attended the burial but not the same.

Easter, Spring…season of change, renewal. Life stops for no one. My heart aches but creating helps me in so many ways.

The card I show Above is one I did post before…look back and you will see All the information on how it was made.

Monday, Monday Organizing

New 2022 – 2024 colors

Yes, organizing so I have space for new stamp pads, paper and markers. Truly love this about Stampin Up!. Color makes everything fun. These new colors are needed. The Parakeet Party, is Kermit Green to me….love Kermit the frog and this lime color green.

I began as a demonstrator in 2017, February. I have had so much fun, especially in the last two years. I love reaching out to family and friends, paper and mail is so much better than a email or phone call….truly more personal. Like everything in the past two years, change, change and more change.

Blog Hop of Retiring Colors 2020 to 2022

2020 – 2022 colors will be ending May 2022

Soon to be gone….sadly….love these colors. Yes, knew ones are coming but I have grown to love these colors, especially Misty Moonlight…it goes with my favorite blue Night of Navy.

Oh, yes…willmiss these greatly.

My storage of 220 to 2022 colors

Yes, every 2 years, one set of colors retire and a new set of colors come. The major colors keep on, like brights, subtle, regals, etc… I love getting the new colors cause it makes your creations more interesting. Color is color, truly inspiring

Misty Moonlight is my go to color. I made the base by cutting it to,4-1/4″ by 8-1/2″. Scored at 4-1/4″. I stamped the greeting with Misty Moonlight on white. First on 4″ X 4″. I also cut white for inside.

My first attempt…to much white
My 5hird attempt

As I was trying to post this, my internet went out and I lost everything…so I had to reload everything. I have autosave, but it erased that, too…..ugh….

one retired, one new.

The stamp set I used, Happiest Birthdays, is now retired. It was on the retired list a few weeks back and now sold out. That makes it a collectors item. The other set bottle of Happiness is available May 3, or available now if you like to join my team, you also get 20% off all purchases. Give it a thought, you choose what you like for your first order for a kit….lots of freebies, too.

Spring Easter Blog Hop

so many creative designers in this blog hop. So thrilled to be apart. Like many, the wonders of spring brings hope…needed so much in so many ways.

Easter and spring was the theme of this hop. I have had so many ideas floating around in my head. I hope you enjoy what I am sharing.

Springing in Michigan

Well, spring is not blooming here in Michigan. It is trying, we are having a cold rainy day today and tommorrow is going to be sunny. This is the pokies in our yard….daffodils when they are blooming.

I was going to going with flowers and they shout Spring/Easter, but I went the bird route. Spring to me is flowers and birds…plus trees. Love Spring. There is a stamp set called Birds and Branches with die set that I have had and hardly have used. I am sad cause it has been out since 2020 and this week I know it will be on the retired list. Yes, things come and go quickly like the seasons.

Final Easter Spring Card

I used crumb cake as the card base, I cut a piece of the horizon dsp to 4″ x 5-1/4″ for the back layer. I used the horizon dsp for the die cuts of leaves and birds, as shown above. Simple and sweet, my motto.

The sentiment is from Timeless Tulips, a lovely set with matching punch.

I am hanging on….our lives have changed greatly with lower income and higher prices, our household is hurting. I love creating and sharing, I will not stop but I need to change how I do things…….I know many who tell me to stop and step back….I need to have some sells or I need to scale back. I am my own best customer and need to change to survive.

So….next week the retire list comes out and will be telling you about it March 23….so things are changing…

so delighted to be with other creative Stampin Up! demonstrators. At this posting I am celebrating 5 years as a demonstrator.
