Spring Flowers, Allergies, Butterflies, Sinus Infection….

Yes, I have been down for a bit….it is sinus infection an allergies…kicking me.

Today is the first day in about a month I can function.

Yes, I went to my doctor, yes, I am vaccinated for Covid..no covid… and yes, thankful things are getting better!

Covid is not good here in Michigan and I have been inside 90% the time…go nowhere but for groceries and walk the dog.

The above is a image of the Easter card I did this year. Mostly made with product no longer available.

The rays of sunshine is from a stencil I made, simple and easy. The cross was fussy cutted out and the grass was sponged/stencil on in Garden Green. The He has risen is punched from the double oval punch. Yes, the double oval punch is still available.

Yes, it is retirement season for Stampin’ Up! products. If you see something you like and it is retiring, get it now before it is gone. I ordered some dies call written words and they are no longer available. The retirement happens to bring on new product. Nothing wrong with the product retiring, just that new items come to keep the creativity going.

The below is the cards I have been working on:

The paper is so beautiful all the sheets are 6″ x6″ and can be used in so many ways.

The layout shows, it is your standard A2 card, taking a sheet of 8-1/2″ x 11″ card stock cutting in half to make 2 card bases, 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Yes, score at at 4-1/4″ to make your A2 card.

Note the strip of DSP (designer series Paper) is 2″ strip. So take the 6″ x 6″ paper and cut into 2″ strips…yes, I do this alot. I than make it 4-1/4″ wide, so to fit front. I punched out a 2-1/4″ circle from the 2-1/4″ circle punch…doesn’t it look great. Yes on some I added a strip of plain color card stock. I have them ready for sentiments.

Truly a amazing stamp set with matching dies.

Part 2 of 2 Positive Thoughts

Staging what colors I like for main card…the first one and the one below? I like the first one with pink background.

So I had a hard time stamping today, could not get the wording aka greeting in the right place or cut right….look below

I used the paper trimmer but kept cutting off the bottom. So…that is why the choppy look greeting. My fingers and eyes are not the best today…..the way it is, press on.

I had to share this discovery. The die makes the flower center 3d…so cool. You could use this on other flowers, too.

The above are the matching dies, that make more options for your paper crafting. Yes, you will need the Emboss & Cut machine but you will never regret the little charmers.

Four Greeting Cards in a Flash Part 1 of 2

Yes, the above is the beginning of a four cards. You will use this technique over and over. I took a 8-1/2″ x 11″ cardstock, this is mint macaron, I used the 2020-2022 in colors to stamp. In colors are inks added every year and only last 2 years, so at the end of 2022 June, you can no longer get the ink, ink refills, markers or paper in these colors. Yes, I love these colors and the 2019-2021 colors will be gone in 2021 June…eek, only a few more months.

The In colors 2020-2022 are cinnamon cider, Just Jade, Bumble Bee, Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight.

This is why I love Stampin Up!, these colors come in cardstock, markers, ink and ink refills. You can match quickly and easy to make a great card. I used the Positive Thoughts stamp set to create the paper.

I used all the colors but Cinnamon Cider…looks cool doesn’t it. I cut them into 4″ x 5-1/4″ sections and you are ready to have a layer for you card fronts…. You made your own DSP = Designer Series Paper.

Card base will be 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, a standard sheet of paper cut in half. This is the base for a A2 card. Yes, A2 cards are the go to in handmade cards….not as big as the ones in the big box store but made with love and time.
