Happy Tuesday! Are you ready for spring …it is only January. Sad face. Isn’t it odd how we see dark nights, snow, cold etc as lovely and romantic when it’s pre Christmas, but once you’re the other side of the New Year… well, it’s just boring and old and we want sunshine! Well my card today will hopefully bring you ideas of sun and warmth.
I’m using the new Thoughtful Blooms stamp set and matching punch, Small Blooms, which are both free during Sale a Bration. You need to order $150 worth of product and you get these lovelies free…Yes, free. I love that we can get really fantastic products for free!
This is an easy card to make, the Garden Green leaves are just one stamp behind each flower on a very vanilla note card. Yes, note cards save so much time and they are so appreciated. The flowers themselves are stamped with rich razzleberry onto whisper white cardstock and then punched. I applied with glue dots, not dimensionals cause I did not want to pay extra postage. I kept things flat. If I was giving this in person, I would give more dimension or if I wanted to pay extra postage. I used Crushed Curry in each flower center. I love this stamp set and punch. Simple and Sweet! Create Joy, Give Joy!
Working on this blog or web site is a new learning curve…. time consuming.
I am pressing on…. I am stamping and doing machine embroidery. Yes, my hands are having issues with arthritis and it is my way of life. Check out my Etsy store from time to time. I have so many doctor and hospital bills since 2018 and it is never ending. My Stamping and Embroidery ease the pain on my limitations. Yes, I feel so isolated at times.
I shared the photo above on my old blog/website. Isn’t it true. I have many things to do to get this going again.
Yes, my arthiritic hands love the ease of just flipping over the plate and going for simple stamping I use the wood blocks for decorating….yes, it takes room. I have been stamping for a long time! Change is a good thing but sometimes we hold onto the old. I am back into the card aka paper crafting mode. I have taken the time to enjoy Christmas and do my best to get things back in gear. Summers are short here in Michigan….real short. I think that is why creating cards to brighten someones bleak days on cold and cloudy days make it so much fun. Today I have to make a card for my sister-in-law and visit her at the hospital. Oh…you don’t have one made, yes, I do but it is fun to make something special.
Ok, enjoy the day! Will have more instructions soon as I can get the photos. Have a creating, crafting day… Create Joy, Give Joy!
Stamped on Whisper white cardstock with Night if Navy ink. Fussy cut out cake. Used rectangular stitch dies to cut Happy Birthday. Made a card base with Night of Navy cardstock
Basic A2 card with whisper white background. You take a 8-1/2 by 11 piece of whisper white and cut in half to get 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 piece of paper. Take that and score at 4-1/4″ to fold in half. You get a 5-1/2″ by 4-1/4″ card. You than cut the Night of Navy to 4″ by 5-1/4″ for layer one. Stamp the cake onto whisper white and also the Happy Birthday. I fussy cut the cake with scissors but to let you know…a die is coming next month….yes…so cool. Take the Happy Birthday and die cut with the rectangular stitched frames…yes, you need the Big shot or some other die cutting machines.
Yes it is icing up but the power is not needed with Stampin Up! I am thankful for the fun to createso what have I been doing I have been organizing…yes..That is kiddie scissors you see. a wild and crazy mess. Old stamps…what do I see on topyes…old stamps.. still good..not the latest greatest but still good and I use them.
For Christmas, my husband got these for me. Yes, this he found at a thrift store and they never had been inked.
So I did make more of the above card. I love Crumb Cake and using watercolor pencil. There is the stitched die used again in the circle. I used a black card base
I am trying to figure this out…it is weird. Bear with me…laugh with me and learn at the same time. Joy of creating and giving is our theme. Create Joy, Give Joy. Share the happiness
This is a old card I did with my favorite dies…the stitched dies that come in ovals, squares and circles. I use them almost everyday…yes. I precut them and use them with my Stamparatus to embellish with words/sentiments or stamping.
This is a basic post….hopefully I can get this going soon.
