I love the colors of Stampin Up!, I love the Blues most of all. The Night of Navy is my go to and favorite color, second is a blue called Misty Moonlight, a in color for 2020-2022. Misty Moonlight will be retired in a few months. I have added several packs to my cardstock over the past two years, because once it retires in April or when it runs out, will no longer be available.
I had to make a special birthday card for my nephew. He always appreciates my cards, even though he is in his late 20’s, he loves cards. His Mom taught him well. His Mom, my twin, passed in 2014 from a brain bleed, I do everything I can to make his birthday special. We will have pizza later today to celebrate….I have not seen him Much and in 2000, I sent his card by mail….it took 2 weeks to arrive and we live in the same town.
I believe you call this a Z-fold card.. as shown below
I used the rectangular stitch dies for “You make me SMILE”. I was there the day he was born, he always makes me smile when I see him. The saying comes from Calming Camellia, a set only earned by purchasing $300.00 or having a group sell of $300.00 or more…worth the effort.
This is my desk right now…yep, messy, messy. I have so many projects going at once. That is OK cause it is blowing snow and snowing hard….yep…winter in Michigan.
The above paper is my go to….yes, it is watercolor looking with backgrounds, it is being used in so many ways.
These two stamp sets are available until the end of February 2022. They are apart of Sale e bration, you can get them free with a $50.00 purchases…..they are my go tos. I have many cards to make.
I have not been busy putting creations up, things hit home and you just say. OK. I have sent out many cards to friends who are ill, feeling blue cause of the bad weather and Covid. Now, many do not want to talk about Covid, but it has hit here hard in our town. I am blessed, it is not hit our home but has come very close. Wear the mask and Yes, get vacinnated and boosted.
I miss so many things, so I have dwelled in making cards, some with old stamps and some with new.
I first state the stamp, yes, I do this lots of times…just to give an idea.
So, I did it, and gave a smear…yep it happens…OK, let fix it
Yes, I made it worse with more trys…..but finally, I had one and cut it out and put over the smear….
I cut the paper to 4″ x 5-1/4″ for card front, then added the overlay to cover the ink spot. Notice, I also color the tires black. One van is up higher than the other….no big deal…bother are ok.
Yes, the days of 2021 are coming to an end…praying your 2021 was better than what I was dealt with.
January, started with Aunt very ill with Covid, she pulled through…thank you God. February, March, still went no where cause of Covid. March I was able to get my first vaccine. April, May, June…made it through…things looking up. July, eek….Aunt Fell broke jaw, so I stayed with her several weeks….she lived out of town and I was away from Husband and my sweet dog…oh, no fun. August, I had a infusion for Osteoporosis and it helped. That same day, my brother was in hospital but I could not see him cause of Covid restrictions….no he did not have Covid, just limited 2 visitors a day. Two days later, he passed, it was heart breaking, totally sad and it shook me to my core. At this time, I did not go to funeral cause I was still helping Aunt out and did not want to infect here with Covid Virus if I came in contact at church. Oh ya, I have not been to church but to my brother’s showing (where my husband and I and two others only had masks on……hence, why I did not go to funeral). September came, was to have knee replacement, could not cause I had a tooth issue…got than done…delayed surgery. Finally October 13th, surgery date, well was moved from Original hospital out of town cause Hospital filled with Covid Patients. Surgery done, recooped and now December and doing better. Ending the year praying 2022 better.
So, that is why I was limited on my postings, WoW, never a boring moment for this old lady. Yes, I am not young but I am still enjoying life. Yes, I love to create, creating is a life style, brings joy to yourself and others…..no matter how things get bad.
Yes, I knit, Sew, Quilt and lots of paper crafting. This is why I am so thankful for Stampin’ Up!…..the days of 2020 and 2021 have been many days of staying home…… Yes, I take precautions, so that is why no in person classes. As I write this, our hospital is so full, it is a big hospital and they are adding 39 beds….Can not get sick. I will be doing more videos this year and some card classes by mail…..

The paper in the background is from sale-a-bration, this is free with a $50.00 purchase. The background is birch tree…so beautiful and fitting.
The paper I love is birch with the stripe back…..
The card is simple but looks great…..
Here is how you cut the pieces….
The back is crumb cake, cut at 4″ x 5-1/2″. The DSP is 4″ x 5-1/4″, DSP ia Designer Series Paper, than the DSP lays on top of the card base, card base is white. The size of the base is 8″ x 5-1/4″ scored at 4″
The stamp set I used is Peaceful Deer, I am in love with this set. It has deer, trees and beautiful greetings. Also a matching punch. I did not use the punch, I fussy cutted (hand cut) the deer after I stamped on white card stock. You see than used markers to color him.
I used mossy meadow for the trees and also the greeting. I use mossy meadow on many cards, it is the perfect green.
Inside I used 2 strips of 1″ x 5-1/4″ to make the sides look nice.,,,,, I made boo boos, so I had to cover the up. Below is the inside before I added the strips…oops
Yes, ink spot and than I have smudges on the right side…..thats ok..you fix it…aka cover up.
Thank you for stopping by, if you need a demonstrator and live in the United States, contact me and will be happy to

The above is a image of the Easter card I did this year. Mostly made with product no longer available.
The rays of sunshine is from a stencil I made, simple and easy. The cross was fussy cutted out and the grass was sponged/stencil on in Garden Green. The He has risen is punched from the double oval punch. Yes, the double oval punch is still available.
Yes, it is retirement season for Stampin’ Up! products. If you see something you like and it is retiring, get it now before it is gone. I ordered some dies call written words and they are no longer available. The retirement happens to bring on new product. Nothing wrong with the product retiring, just that new items come to keep the creativity going.
Love this set with matching dies. Do you know what the difference of a butterfly and moths. Well Butterflys when they land, they tent their wings. Moths do not tent, they lay flat….many more differences I will share in the coming days.
The above may look familar, yes it is from a stamp set I can not get enought of, called Positive Thoughts. The paper is from the fern stamp in Positive Thoughts. The below is what it looked like before I cut it up for card fronts.
The above is what the stamp set looks like, one big stamp….
Yes, the butterflys were fussy cutted for the card…oh wow
I fussy cut cause I like the look…but don’t fret, dies come with this set and one die cuts all the butterflys at once…so cool.
