Yes, I have been down for a bit….it is sinus infection an allergies…kicking me.
Today is the first day in about a month I can function.
Yes, I went to my doctor, yes, I am vaccinated for Covid..no covid… and yes, thankful things are getting better!
Covid is not good here in Michigan and I have been inside 90% the time…go nowhere but for groceries and walk the dog.
The above is a image of the Easter card I did this year. Mostly made with product no longer available.
The rays of sunshine is from a stencil I made, simple and easy. The cross was fussy cutted out and the grass was sponged/stencil on in Garden Green. The He has risen is punched from the double oval punch. Yes, the double oval punch is still available.
Yes, it is retirement season for Stampin’ Up! products. If you see something you like and it is retiring, get it now before it is gone. I ordered some dies call written words and they are no longer available. The retirement happens to bring on new product. Nothing wrong with the product retiring, just that new items come to keep the creativity going.
Love this set with matching dies. Do you know what the difference of a butterfly and moths. Well Butterflys when they land, they tent their wings. Moths do not tent, they lay flat….many more differences I will share in the coming days.
The above may look familar, yes it is from a stamp set I can not get enought of, called Positive Thoughts. The paper is from the fern stamp in Positive Thoughts. The below is what it looked like before I cut it up for card fronts.
The above is what the stamp set looks like, one big stamp….
Yes, the butterflys were fussy cutted for the card…oh wow
I fussy cut cause I like the look…but don’t fret, dies come with this set and one die cuts all the butterflys at once…so cool.
Stamping everyday, keeps the sad days away…..enjoy!
Yes, please shop with me, so I can get Grayson some cat food, yes, he is a healthy kitty.

What punches are those??? The look different? When you make tags, punches add to the speed. Take a 2″ strip of paper, insert into punch and instant fun. Yes, you can make them as long as you like. Yes, I use them to make bookmarks also…. One is the scallop tag topper punch and the other is Delightful Tag Topper Punch. Yes, you can make your paper strips less than a 2″ strip but my goto is 2″

Yes, the above is the beginning of a four cards. You will use this technique over and over. I took a 8-1/2″ x 11″ cardstock, this is mint macaron, I used the 2020-2022 in colors to stamp. In colors are inks added every year and only last 2 years, so at the end of 2022 June, you can no longer get the ink, ink refills, markers or paper in these colors. Yes, I love these colors and the 2019-2021 colors will be gone in 2021 June…eek, only a few more months.
The In colors 2020-2022 are cinnamon cider, Just Jade, Bumble Bee, Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight.
This is why I love Stampin Up!, these colors come in cardstock, markers, ink and ink refills. You can match quickly and easy to make a great card. I used the Positive Thoughts stamp set to create the paper.
I used all the colors but Cinnamon Cider…looks cool doesn’t it. I cut them into 4″ x 5-1/4″ sections and you are ready to have a layer for you card fronts…. You made your own DSP = Designer Series Paper.
Card base will be 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, a standard sheet of paper cut in half. This is the base for a A2 card. Yes, A2 cards are the go to in handmade cards….not as big as the ones in the big box store but made with love and time.
So the birthday came and went…but did not get a card to my dear brother. Like I posted earlier, we were born on his 4th birthday. What day every year sharing my birthday. I loved it. I missed seeing him this year cause of Covid. Praying I can see him in the Spring.
This is a simple card to make, truly fun and easy. When you have the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine. Love this little cut and emboss machine. Compact and no electricity needed. You lay the die on the plate, sandwich between the plate and roll through…the press does all the cutting. Yes, it is manual but accurate and you can take it outside to the picnic table, the porch and camping. Sadly, now like many with no electricity you can use it and enjoy as long as you have light to see.
First you die cut a circle, than make the base. The base is crumb cake, 8-1/2″ by 4-1/4″. Score at 4-1/4″ to get a 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ base folded.
I next glue the die cut circle to the center of the base. Note: Only glue the lower half. What I do is put the base over a actual A2 card, which is 4/1/4″ x 5-1/2″ folded. I give it the eye to center. The pink above is a A2 card, I lay my base and Circle over. As shown below, only glue the lower portion of the card.
Lay circle dye cut over and let dry.
Now the fun begins, take a clear block, ink up with pad or marker, than spritz with water….you are watercoloring. You had to have water soluable markers and inks, that is why l like Stampin’ Up! ink pads. Also, non toxic. Easy to clean with water.
The above is using blue on top and green on bottom. Ok, the deer is fussy cut…oh my, fussy cut. Simple From Natures Beauty stamp set.
My go to deer Stamp from Nature’s Beauty Stamp set.
I wanted Crumb Cake Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock…well, My Stampin’ Pad was dry so I went to Early Expresso. I have a new Crumb cake ink bad on order and a refill. Now, if I had a refill, I would not need to order another. Tip: Order a Ink pad and refill at same time, you will not regret. I ordered another ink pad cause the style changed a few years ago, love the new style. Yep, I use Crumb Cake on many cards and projects along with Navy…my go to colors.
So I went to my go to sets, yes, these are used over and over. They give a watercolor look, the look I love. Snow Front has trees, Deer, Mountains and water, grass….use with many other sets.
These are how I keep my sets, in a little crate I pick up at dollar store or thrift store. Needless to say the passed year I have been no where, these are items I had….thank goodness.
I added some trees in Tranquil Tied…a color no longer available. Yes, every two years new colors come and go…yes they are called the in colors. The basics stay but to jazz up things a bit, new colors come. So when you find something you like and use, get back ups. I did not on this color and truly missed out. Cause once they retire they can not be ordered. Same with stamp sets, they come and go. Sooo….if you like this set, by end of May 2021, it may have retired.
OK, now. I should have done the white circle on its own and stamped. Yes, I did this wrong…but hey. Do you see the blue blop by the pine tree, well I stamped over it, to try to make it better.
Added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the deer. Yes, you can cut them to fit. This makes the deer stand out more.
Next, I showcased my dies to see the right size, to cut white cardstock to cover my ink blobs…yep, no mistake, just a designer creativity…
The cardstock comes out nice…..these are stitched dies that are again used over and over.
I added the dimesionals to the back of both these stitched die cuts to give more dimension.
Ok….have fun…. enjoy and share. Have a great day giving. Create Joy, Give Joy.
I am taking this time to be STILL, yes, still…creating and enjoying my garden, long walks with my dog and creating in the kitchen. My coop up feelings have gone away by enjoying what I have….not what I don’t have. I am creating cards and sending them to friends and family…so thankful.
The card is simple, just Red Cherry Cobble paper with stamped with Black ink… I make alot of these to have on hand. I use them for birthday cards, thinking of you, etc.
