Happy Easter!

Die cut card revisited

You may not celebrate Easter, but it has been part of my being for my entire life. This year, it has not been one to celebrate. I push myself to do so. Last August, I lost my brother after heart issues, strokes and falling. He was my only sibling who stayed with the Catholic church and celebrated the special day. This same special brother always called me when I sent him a card. This summer, Covid restrictions kept me from seeing him in the hospital. The saddest thing, I could not attend his funeral. I was helping someone who had fallen and lived out of town. In her 80’s with no home Healthcare available. I attended the burial but not the same.

Easter, Spring…season of change, renewal. Life stops for no one. My heart aches but creating helps me in so many ways.

The card I show Above is one I did post before…look back and you will see All the information on how it was made.

Spring Easter Blog Hop

so many creative designers in this blog hop. So thrilled to be apart. Like many, the wonders of spring brings hope…needed so much in so many ways.

Easter and spring was the theme of this hop. I have had so many ideas floating around in my head. I hope you enjoy what I am sharing.

Springing in Michigan

Well, spring is not blooming here in Michigan. It is trying, we are having a cold rainy day today and tommorrow is going to be sunny. This is the pokies in our yard….daffodils when they are blooming.

I was going to going with flowers and they shout Spring/Easter, but I went the bird route. Spring to me is flowers and birds…plus trees. Love Spring. There is a stamp set called Birds and Branches with die set that I have had and hardly have used. I am sad cause it has been out since 2020 and this week I know it will be on the retired list. Yes, things come and go quickly like the seasons.

Getting thoughts together
Final Easter Spring Card

I used crumb cake as the card base, I cut a piece of the horizon dsp to 4″ x 5-1/4″ for the back layer. I used the horizon dsp for the die cuts of leaves and birds, as shown above. Simple and sweet, my motto.

The sentiment is from Timeless Tulips, a lovely set with matching punch.
